What this byline claims, and what it does not

Resume advice is a subject where an author box is normally used to imply a qualification. There is no qualification being implied here. What there is instead is the product: the match score on this site is code, and when a guide says how the score treats a repeated keyword, that is a statement about something readers can go and test on the resume checker rather than a claim about hiring in general.

How the guides are written

• A figure, a price or an appeal to research carries a link to where it came from. A guide that cannot source a claim drops the claim rather than hedging it into something vaguer.
• When a guide describes how scoring behaves, it is describing this site's own scorer and says so. Applicant tracking systems differ from each other, and a general claim about all of them is usually one nobody has checked.
• Every guide shows when it was published and, if it has changed since, when it was last updated. Advice that has quietly gone stale is worse than advice that is visibly two years old.

Corrections

If something in a guide is wrong, or a source does not say what the guide says it says, write to support@yiriba.com and the page gets corrected with its updated date moved.
